Get Ready to be Derailed in Jiquor’s Final Event!

The starting area.

We are excited to announce the release of Jiquor’s final event (click here to view), literally two days before he disappears, hardly to ever be heard from again. We’re excited to release a brand new concept that is going to leave you feeling challenged and thrown off the rails…literally.

I first started work on this project back in July alone when I wanted to build something interesting. I found there were not enough cart riding places on GOODBLOX, and I felt I could build an interesting one. So for fourteen days, I built the entire framework with my own two hands (with the exception of the rails and mine carts, but they have some modifications to make it half my work). It was originally set to be a simple cart riding place where you’d go inside a giant red teapot at the end, but then I got Mehrio, our new creative director, aboard to work on scenery pieces and quality detail. In fact, this became such an interesting idea that we decided to make it a future event. So we spent a great deal of time on it with sweat and fury, and now we’re finally ready to release it out to the public this afternoon.

The Teapot photo is by my old friend Malfracture. I miss you, dude.

In this event, you will face a challenge unlike any you’ve seen on GOODBLOX. This unique event takes a classic concept of cart riding places and turns it into an exciting, challenging, and difficult adventure with concepts in cart rides unlike anything you’ve ever seen. There are four items you can obtain from the starting zone to the end of the line. Read more about the following items below:

You can find a Golden Minecart, a Cartspot, a Golden Nugget, and a Warning Sign during this event. The end time for the event is unknown, as it’s Mehrio’s decision now.

Of course, with unique concepts and a deadline we had to meet, there’s prone to be some bugs or annoying spots in the game. You’re going to have to figure out how to move past them, because Jiquor will no longer be available. Mehrio decides when he gets to close the event place as well – my assumption is he’ll close it before Halloween festivities are released to the public.

We can’t wait to see you get thrown off the tracks…or not. Moreover, we can’t wait to see you experiment with these mine carts in hopes to find interesting, limited-time rewards. As always, we put months of work into this, and we’re finally excited to release it after almost three hard months of work.

The giant red teapot you’d reach at the end of the line. Tricky, no?

An official video trailer for the event comes out tomorrow.

GOODBLOX| Showcase #5

Hello there folks! This is the last ever showcase Jiquor is running. Mehrio will be taking over from now on – however, welcome to our fifth GOODBLOX Showcase, where you get to vote for your favorite game, favorite user-creation, and your favorite user! With all these votes being cast by the entire community of GOODBLOX, I am very happy to see that the voting numbers were up compared to the last Showcase. We received 125 votes total, which was a little shy of 150, as always. We’re so excited to see that many users participated in this showcase, and we hope there are more for months to come.

Recently, Jiquor has announced his leave from GOODBLOX because he’s moving on in the real world – school, hobbies, work, and his significant other are what he needs to focus on. He barely has time for video games any more, even when it comes to working on them! I highly thank KJF and Pizzaboxer for their very hard work on site and game client development. I feel very lucky to not only have been the initial Creative Director for this revival project, but I feel lucky to have risen through the ranks to become the co-owner of GOODBLOX; to have KJF as my partner as we ascend the trials and hoops that we have to jump through to make GOODBLOX even better each week. I have no idea who will become our new co-owner, but Mehrio is going to become our new Creative Director (so he’s becoming an administrator for the web site)! You can read more about me and other staff members here. But enough about the staff team – let’s get on with the showcase results!

The GOODBLOX Olympic Building Contest is about to conclude with the release of the special, limited-edition ring hats, and Giftsplosion gifts are releasing each day. Finally, GOODFest 2020 is about to come to a close as well. Everything leaves on the 28th, so get as many items from our previous events as you can before that happens. However, our newest event, which releases tomorrow, will be available until Mehrio decides to close it. We won’t share what it is yet, so stay tuned!

Creation of the Month:

“I Heart Gifts”, by TroolRatta777

“If you love and want all gifts from all over GoodBloxia, this shirt is for you.” That’s exactly what the description says. Created during the (rather long) Christmas in Summer event, this shirt was voted for lots of times and has received lots of buyers and favorites. Who doesn’t love gift boxes? Buy it today by clicking here!

Game of the Month:

“Person’s Fencing”, by Person

Person’s Fencing received the most votes for Game of the Week. I’m not really a fan of fencing games, but I’ve heard this place is well designed and many hilarious moments have happened here. There might or might not be a game day taking place here in the foreseeable future. I especially enjoy all the classic billboards placed around the place. A particular moment someone posted on Discord also can’t escape my mind either.

User of the Month:

Aunarky is our User of the Month for developing some cool projects, being an upstanding community member, and coordinating amazing things for the community to enjoy. There is no doubt that he will also help you if you seem to be having trouble. He’s also a contributor for GOODBLOX. Check out what some users wrote about him below:

Aunarky I guess? He is developing about 5 original games and they will most likely be ported to GOODBLOX. Obviously not all at the same time but prioritized.

– Person

Aunarky is actually very nice towards users, and he’s funny. This player definitely has a high level of development to show off their skills.

– Tawny

Miscellaneous Stuff

Second to last, many of our users have voted for which hat is going to come out next, and the winner is the Jiquor’s Trash Bin! This was created by Jiquor. This is in no way intended to shun Jiquor, but is rather supposed to be funny. Check out why by clicking here! This item will come out this weekend, and it will be completely free of charge for a limited time only.

Finally, you have voted for how well KJF and I have done in the last month. For those of you who answered honestly, thank you so much. We appreciate that most of you think we did equally well and that we’re awesome as a whole. KJF for development, and Jiquor with his creative direction. However, we’re working hard to make GOODBLOX a whole lot better, so thanks for answering both questions – they’re important to us. Here are some suggestions from users on how we can do better.

What KJF could do better: Better communication with players, and better response times with users regarding questions, feedback, suggestions, information, and bugs.
What Jiquor could(‘ve, since he’s leaving) done better: Less lateness with event releases and last minute changes with ongoing site/game stuff, and better consideration for future ideas from the community.

And there you have it! Our fifth GoodBlox Showcase, where every user that won has new stuff which proves how far they’ve come on GoodBlox. Don’t forget to remember Jiquor when he leaves…potentially forever. Remember to help others, play it safe, and be careful of your health, folks! See you on the next showcase…if not sooner.

Jiquor with his two sports cars.

Dear GOODBLOX Community,

I have been a part of this revival since the very beginning when we first started in 2018 with Keanu73, MrPinball64, GameHero, KJF, and others. We have been through so much over these last couple years with three different iterations of GOODBLOX – this iteration being the best and most successful despite many bumps in the road we’ve been through along the way.

But I’m going to get to the point, no matter how hard it may be. I regret to tell everyone, but it must be done. I am retiring from GOODBLOX completely, which will be effective on October 1st, 2020.

My decision was set as of September 20th, 2020. I am officially retiring from the GOODBLOX community and all of what has been part of “ROBLOX” with me for more than a decade (since May 2007). I have to focus on taking care of my family in their fragile states, I have to focus on Tawny, my significant other, I have to focus on my education extremely highly (I seek a future in psychology and want to keep going with the competitive GPA I have at this moment, and the pandemic has shifted classes online which makes class participation even tougher on me), and I’m getting serious with my new hobby, which will be body work and mechanical engineering (for automotive transportation). The COVID-19 pandemic is also hiccuping my life as a whole even further than it has in the beginning of the pandemic, and there are some personal hiccups I’ve experienced this year that I won’t bring up because they’re on highly personal levels for me. But all this has made me realize what I must be focusing on – and that’s my true future.

The paintball map I worked on with our staff team.

I’m even slowly beginning to stop playing games as a whole – the only real thing I play these days is Pokemon GO, but that’s with my friends in the real world – a game in which all twelve of us play, even together as best we can. Some of those friends have come and gone within the last four years, but it’s where I feel I can truly feel connected. The stress that’s built up here as well has partially taken a mental toll on me, and I know it’s time for a newer generation of people to carry on this project.

There’s a lot more I want to write here, but that would take about fifteen pages and three hours which I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT HAVE today. My work ethic and life goals are slowly coming back into my sense of reality, and who I truly want to become. And I don’t expect to return, but if I do, it will be as a lowly asset developer and creator. I truly thank all of you for being in my presence these last few years.

Before I sign off, I want to give a special thanks to KJF for being a great mentor to me these past few years. I’ve probably learned more about game and web development from him than I’ve learned from others. It’s knowledge that I believe will come in handy.

If you want to keep in touch, the best way to do that is via Twitter, or Discord, if you have access to those. I will most likely update my Twitter more often down the road – nonetheless, keep building, GOODBLOXia.

Farewell, soon…

GOODFest Catalog Sale

This week, we announced GOODFest 2020. This celebration will commemorate a whole year we’ve been up and running without completely shutting down our services. We’re excited that this community is building and we’re excited to see many more talented players create interesting things. Because of this, I promised that there will be a very special sale along with our mass event pool, which is going to run from the 20th of September to the 27th of September. In addition, there are some awesome giveaways happening on our Discord Server and our Twitter right now, so why not join us to participate in them?

Although the GOODFest Catalog Sale has not started yet, there was a poll that ran for a few days. Everyone who entered voiced their opinions for the outcome of this special sale. If your pick didn’t make it, don’t worry! This is only a preview of SOME of the items we’re putting up for the special sale. However, that doesn’t mean your pick is guaranteed to be selected. Don’t complain to me about it, or I will ban you.

How the sale is going to work:
– There will be one wave per day during the afternoon.
– There will be one currency giveaway per day. All numbers (0 to 1000) are picked by a random numeral generator.
– Items stay up throughout the 27th unless otherwise advertised in the item description. Read carefully!

Some items that are going back on-sale:

Left: Witch Hat. Center: “Teapot” Tome. Right: Candlerow.

Remember: This is just a preview of some items coming back on. This doesn’t include everything we’ve got planned.

Items being sold at a discount:

Left: Fedora. Center: Purple Banded Top Hat. Right: Red Stetson.

New Items Being Released:

What’s being released next? Here’s what 203 users have decided!

It turns out that Head Unlocker and I <3 GOODBLOX Sign have tied. This means both items will be released during this special sale. Also, users have wanted more heads to come out as well. Some new heads are going to be coming out during this sale if we have time to get them out there.

User-Made Assets Coming to GoodBlox:

Left: Milkmaid’s Stetson. Center: Bombhead. Right: Pretty Girls’ Teapot.

These are items that users had made in the before time on ROBLOX, long before the user-generated creation system. They will soon become live GoodBlox assets!

Be sure to save up your currency. You can look at some of the ways in which you can earn currency by reading the following information below:
Do something generous/helpful and be recognized for a reward.
• You can sell outfits for currency, which may be vital for earnings.
• You are boosting our Discord server, and that is always appreciated along with donations if you wish to. We always thank our supporters!
• You can also participate in our contests – every participant gets a special reward, whether they win or lose!
• We host giveaways. I host a big one only once a month unless otherwise advised.
• Promote your Place and have users join your Place.

Good luck, see you soon!

Secret, Sacred Wanwood

This is it – this is real, this is the box that started it all. Wanwood was just beginning to make its reappearance in ROBLOX, back when the particular type of wood was thought to be extinct. Scientists rediscovered this type of wood back in 2007 and they found out it was not only easy to grow, but it was also growing at an alarming rate (and a single Wanwood tree would merely take no more than three days to grow into a full, beautiful tree).

When one of the trees died, a researcher at ROBLOX Headquarters discovered that Wanwood was extremely easy to shape into stuff – accessories, clothing, and even car parts. (But why?) They thought they could make interesting milestones with this newly found discovery; first there were conversations about making a crown, then a sombrero, then a mask out of this material, but then Telamon came up with the best idea. He thought he might be able to turn it into a brand new item during Giftsplosion, and so they went to create this box. Who knows what lies inside?

Telamon was surprised that the requirement of this box stumbled people’s minds, sending players into slumps of confusion. Originally, he gave it to players that said the word “tree” on an item comment, forum post, or personal blurb. When we got this gift imported over to GOODBLOX, we thought we’d spice things up a little. I originally hinted on the blog post, “Pink, Can We Truly Hate You?“, that you might have to focus on one specific category. When I saw people submitting entries into multiple categories, I discussed the requirement with my good friend (who doesn’t play), and she thought it might be better to think about all the categories instead of one. Of course, only twenty-nine boxes were obtained for free, and congratulations to those who either read my previous blog post on the Speckled Pink Gift of Pinksplosion or figured it out on their own. You can get it for 300 GOODBUX now – limited time only.

We can’t wait to see more users win some gift boxes in the near future. If you made it to the end, I should mention the Global Voting Challenge has received 182 submissions and that means you only need 18 (count, EIGHTEEN) more submissions to reach 200 submissions. If you reach 200 submissions before 11:59pm PST, you will win a bonus event at Super Minigames!

Thank you.

The Global Voting Challenge!

We need your help deciding what items should come out for the GOODFEST Catalog Sale. This survey should not take more than a couple of minutes to complete, and it can also be found as an announcement banner on the main web site.

However, it seems I need to encourage people to vote for items to come out during this special sale. Because we want you to vote, and because you want encouragement to vote, we have decided to turn this into a Global Voting Challenge.

Click here to go to the polls.

EDIT: The poll must be completed all the way, and it can’t have spammed/off-topic entries. Read the question and answer it correctly or you vote won’t be counted.

If this survey gets 50 votes, we’ll host a giveaway on Discord and Twitter! – Unlocked! Giveaways happen on September 18, 2020.
If this survey gets 100 votes, we’ll host a bonus Reign of TIX and GOODBUX before the sale starts! – Unlocked! September 19, 2020.
If this survey gets 200 votes, we’ll host a special game day at Jiquor’s Super Minigames place, combined with a brand new prize opportunity! – Unlocked! We’ll let you know when this event becomes available.
Finally, if this survey gets 500 votes, we’ll unlock some special bonuses around the site: Double tickets for place visiting, increased walkspeed in games, and one additional place slot for those who voted! – You did not meet the required votes before this date. Total votes: 202

Get voting and tell your friends.

A Year to Remember

Various members of the community with KJF

It’s almost been a year since we’ve started the third reiteration of GOODBLOX, which has proven to be such a success, despite many bumps we’ve been through along the way. We have a fantastic community that’s growing beyond what we expected, we have many talented community members creating awesome content, we have items unlike you’ve ever seen in the classic days of ROBLOX, and we have an incredible staff team.

Jiquor before his termination – by “doc”

Our server was created on the 23rd of September by JackGamesFTW with assistance from other staff members. After about three or four days, I was invited to help out with the project (mostly because I’ve been in the other two inderations of this project beforehand). It’s no surprise that I took on a creative role early because of my (almost ten year experience) with ROBLOX (May 2007 – January 2017). With that, I’ve risen from a simple Administrator, to a Creative Director, and now, I’m the Co-Owner. I am proud to serve fellow GOODBLOXians, but I am more than proud to swing the banhammer too. But don’t let that discourage you from chatting with me. I’m usually friendly!

We think our mission to become A Different Revival Project has been a success. Members of the community are friendlier with one another and folks are having endless fun on the forums, various Places, and even in the comments section. This is one of the first revival projects as well to have a classic web site layout of ROBLOX, which shows how nostalgic we really are. This community is also designed to be friendlier than all the ones that have existed throughout the Old ROBLOX Community in general. We think things are looking great! But with a lot of work and updates over the horizon, we can transform this project as a whole…

I’d like to celebrate the third reiteration of GOODBLOX more than we ever have before. This is our true one year anniversary – a year in which we’ve truly stayed alive. We knew we would get there, even when the existence of GOODBLOX was uncertain at a few occasions. And we couldn’t have done it without you – the community of GOODBLOX. We couldn’t have done it without KJF, and our contributors. And even if Pranked_Bro is no longer here, we have to at thank him for at least starting the project and attempting to bring people together. Long live GOODBLOX!

Community Day – September 2020

We have a wide range of surprises for the entire community. Stuff being brought back, a special sale, a new event, and best of all, a brand new concept called Community Day. We were going to host our first Community Day on the weekend, but once we remembered our anniversary date, we had to host it on the day of our anniversary. But after that, each Community Day will be hosted on the weekends. If you complain though, I’ll ignore you or ban you. Do I need to repeat myself? You get the memo. We appreciate positivity and appreciation with a side of constructive feedback, and that shows well throughout the community.

SEPTEMBER 20: The GOODFEST Catalog Sale starts!
SEPTEMBER 21: Eggstravaganza re-opens!
SEPTEMBER 22: One day of Reign of Tickets and GOODBUX!
SEPTEMBER 23: Community Day, featuring The Golden GOODBLOXian!
SEPTEMBER 24: Lucky Item Festival re-opens!
SEPTEMBER 25: Our new event releases! Wait for details.
SEPTEMBER 26: GAME DAY: Battle Day opens! Wait for details.

On September 27, 2020, everything shuts down right when I wake up. Reign, Community Day, and Game Day abide by a schedule. The poll for the sale goes up soon, and it will start sometime on September 20, 2020.

We can’t wait for our brand new users to partake in the events that they missed back then! One thing I’d like to remind our users of: when it comes to a fear of missing out, you (mostly) don’t have to fear! We try our best to make items obtainable and events playable throughout the months to give new users a chance to earn some fabulous prizes. It doesn’t happen for every item and event, but when it does, you better take the chance!

Let’s keep bringing the community together.
One step at a time.

Pink: Can We Truly Hate You?

Before GOODBLOX ran into some personal problems of its own, there was a new box that had released prior to when all the problems began. Users discovered the Speckled Pink Gift of Pinksplosion (and that’s a mouthful). Instantly, they found the description contained something about “hating pink”. I was amused that users were truly confused about this box because they kept saying they hated pink everywhere around the site – on blurbs, item descriptions, and forum posts. The list of comments has also got to be one of the longest lists I’ve ever seen on-site (which seems to be a good sign). However, this was not the case at all. If you hate pink, you do you. But I am here to reveal the truth, and nothing but the truth. If you don’t like it, then kindly delete this post from your browser history and ignore it. We don’t take kindly to complaints or insults.

In 2007, users initially got this because they owned an item with the color pink on it. We thought that was silly and clever, but we decided to brain-tease the community. Yes, the description said something about hating pink things, but how else would you hate pink things besides writing down the fact you hated pink, even if you didn’t truly mean it?

Well, some users were smart enough to avoid wearing and using pink body colors, clothing, hats, and other items altogether. Yes, even items that had a *teensy-tiny bit of pink* on them counted. We also decided to count the colors alder, lavender, and salmon because they’re lighter shades of magenta to us. Don’t agree? Your problem. You have to buy it for 100 G$ instead or leave it alone. We looked through every outfit carefully as best we could. If you were caught wearing pink colors, that’s it. This box is not for free.

But we can’t truly hate pink; I mean, this color does show toughness and this color is used to raise awareness on important topics around the world. Pink is tough, pink is cool. But if you genuinely hate the color pink, that’s too bad. We gave you this box just to spite you.

But don’t worry – there are more boxes on the horizon. A new Wanwood box just released last night, and it will be available to earn for a few days. If you made it to the end of the post, why don’t I drop a hint for you? You might as well look into uploading something in a specific category. But we’re not telling you what that requirement is specifically. Figure it out on your own, you clever GOODBLOXian, you.

We’re always watching.

A Gift Only For the Elite

In 2007, ROBLOX staff members put out two hints for the first two gift boxes: the Nice Gift and the Black Iron Gift of Pwnage. Unfortunately, after that, no more information was spread on the remaining boxes until every box had been released to the public for free.

But this time, it’s different. I am here to talk about all the boxes in detail as best I can. I’m also going to upload some cool still shots I got of the boxes while I was bored. But if you complain about not getting them, I will ignore you or ban you if you become annoying about it toward me. End of story.

Now, onto the tale…

A scary green box rose from the depths of a forbidden forest. No no, not the one like you’d find on the northwestern side of Hogwarts, but one with many tales of 1x1x1x1 and other exploiters from times past. Some say the depths of the darkest part of that forest contain a wormhole that connects to the forsaken location known as Banland, where all terminated users go to rot when they have been terminated by our merciless crack squad of moderators. This box has been said to be absolutely legendary for an abomination of reasons, and there are mysteries surrounding the founder whom crafted this cursed box to wreak horrible vengeance on ROBLOX back in December 2007.

Some say Telamon, 1x1x1x1 (and/or his counterparts), or Gamer3D created this box at an attempt to ruin Giftsplosion. When people found out the real creator of the box (JohnCarmack), we knew his evil plan, thus he wasn’t banned, but completely forbidden to access ROBLOX as a whole. As we all couldn’t have expected more, the box made its way to GOODBLOX. Users instantaneously believed JohnCarmack was the culprit, but they were surprised to find that when they messaged him, a letter might or might’ve not been sent back to their inbox, but he fooled Giftsplosion hunters into thinking this was a trap! Some users were clever enough to search his entire GOODBLOX account though, because they found this mysterious Decal
With this Decal advertising an accursed front-view version of a regular Domino Crown with a mysterious ID on the bottom right corner, users had to think harder on who the culprit was this time. Let’s look closely and think for a second; hmm, a Domino Crown…an accursed box…the number 15845…Banland…Wait a minute, now I know how some people found out who it was! It was none other than…

Fleskhjerta was one of the initial popular users to ever hit the ROBLOX scene with his cool places and intricate bloopers that left a cool mark on YouTube (when it was still genuinely cool). Banned once and threatening to quit, then being terminated in Late 2008, he vowed happiness to be off the platform and had announced his (awaiting) retirement right then and there. Of course, he did come back thirteen years later to relive memories with his fans (and he was not pleased at all), but I think he had another trick up his sleeve. He sent this box straight from the depths of his cell in Banland over to us. Users found that when they received the mysterious Elite Gift of Hax0r in their inventory in due time, they had contacted the right person. They messaged Fleskhjerta – if you were one of these users, pat yourself on the back for solving this. Salute!

It is now on sale for 400 GOODBUX for a limited time only – the most expensive of all the boxes. If you bought it, you most likely got your money’s worth. But if you aren’t satisfied, then too bad. Delete it. We don’t care. But as of now, there’s only 58 in existance.

More boxes are coming along the horizon, and there’s still time left. Keep your thinking caps on and you’ll have more of them in no time.
